Our company is looking for a Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulating influents/effluents for plant operation;
  • Performing equipment and tank inspection, preventive maintenance, and documentation/Data sheets;
  • Ensuring facility appearance is acceptable and work environments are safe, clean, and orderly;
  • Performing consistent high quality laboratory work and logs of calibrations;
  • Making chemical dose adjustments in response to changing water quality parameters;
  • Maintaining Compliance with ADEQ Permit Regulator;
  • Reporting anomalous events with Water Treatment plant to supervisor;
  • Monitoring data acquisitions screens and historical data and have the ability to interpret them;
  • Working with plant operator and maintenance personnel on shift;
  • Sampling and analyzing influents/effluents;
  • Maintaining day-to-day lab, inspections, and preventive maintenance operations necessary to meet quality effluent water for discharge.

Requirements:

  • Ability to safely operate machinery and vehicles;
  • Basic computer and problem solving skills;
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision;
  • Class D Water License must be obtained within 6 months of employment;
  • Must obtain Class C Surface Water Treatment within 2 years of employment;
  • Ability to remove and repair mechanical components of the treatment plant;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Basic knowledge of general laboratory equipment, metering pumps and instrumentation;
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing;
  • Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds;
  • Basic mechanical skills;
  • Ability to rake, shovel and clean.
