Armed Security Officer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Armed Security Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform first-aid or CPR if needed;
- Identifies and reports trends related to security issues. Recommends actions;
- Conducts frequent security patrols of the facilities and grounds as assigned;
- Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulations;
- Properly investigates all assigned incidents and document the findings of the investigation on department report forms;
- Diffuses difficult situations and will accompany unauthorized individuals off university owned and controlled property;
- Assists stranded motorists by jumping dead batteries, changing flat tires and pushing disabled vehicles;
- Complete rounds of assigned locations as requested;
- Provides emergency first aid to injured or ill person(s) and assists in the transportation of these persons when necessary;
- Any other duties as assigned by the Corporal, Sergeant, and/or Director of Campus Security;
- Responds to building alarms;
- Be able to be a member of the Alarm Station Operator;
- Report all unusual incident or hazardous conditions;
- May be subjected to public criticism and social pressures that create stress;
- Provides basic information, direction and assistance to university personnel, students and visitors.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- 21 years of age or older;
- Well-motivated, able to work well both independently and as part of a team;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Reliable transportation;
- Strong written and verbal skills;
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record;
- Dependable;
- Employment is for temporary events and services only;
- Punctual;
- Must be able to obtain/maintain an NRC Secret Security Clearance;
- Active NRC, DoD, or DOE Secret Clearance preferred;
- Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid New Mexico or Texas driver’s license;
- Graduate from the Centerra URE Basic Training Security Officer Academy (240 hours);
- Initial/ Annual physical fitness test (complete ½ mile run in 4 minutes and 40 seconds, and a 40 yard dash in 8.5 seconds from the prone position).
