Our company is looking for a Asset Protection Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • All other duties based on business needs;
  • Respond to security incidents and submit appropriate documentation for all incidents following AP policy and procedures;
  • Identify, escalate and support internal theft investigations at the direction of AP leadership;
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest;
  • Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicating important issues;
  • Know your role in supporting total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests;
  • Model safe behaviors at all times while maintaining a clean store;
  • Identify theft trends by leveraging technology, reporting and surveillance tactics;
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance;
  • Understand and appropriately use video systems to monitor theft activity and support internal cases.

Requirements:

  • Learn and adapt to current technology needs;
  • Work both independently and with a team;
  • Ability to properly and effectively document cases;
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently;
  • Effective communication skills;
  • Skills using surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure while aiding in the reduction of shortage;
  • Ability to use Target’s video surveillance system to monitor guests and identify potential theft risks;
  • Ability to implement Target’s Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortage;
  • Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes;
  • Ability to pass drug test;
  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality;
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Minimum 18 years of age/21 years of age in Alaska;
  • Good customer service skills;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
