Our company is looking for a Facility Security Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Review routine compliance and integrity audits for accuracy and potential concerns. Provides and executes action plan based on review;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Confirms all security issues and incidents are recorded and reported to the client’s security office;
  • Ensure proper submission of background investigation checks for new hires and reinvestigations;
  • Ability to manage SAP programs;
  • Dedication to security, building and delivering the highest value to customers;
  • Detailed understanding of security databases such as JPAS, eQIP, eFCL and ISFD;
  • A customer oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the team’s current security posture. Prepare for and participate in security audits conducted by government personnel;
  • Ability to develop and establish an effective security awareness, training, and education program;
  • Assist the security officer with periodic inventories;
  • Oversee classification markings and bibliography development;
  • Provide subject matter expertise, in the constantly evolving security domain, to customer and Leidos program management personnel;
  • Detailed working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance as well as the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards;
  • Conducting security education and training including refresher training.

Requirements:

  • FSO must have three (3) years of experience as FSO;
  • FSO certification with minimum 2 years of experience as an FSO;
  • Conducting security education and training including refresher training;
  • Experience using JPAS, DISS and NISS;
  • Working knowledge of JPAS, E-QIP, SWFT, DISS, National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Contracts Classification System (NCAISS), NISS is preferred;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the team’s current security posture. Prepare for and participate in security audits conducted by government personnel;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Oversee classification markings and bibliography development;
  • Courier preparation procedures;
  • COMSEC Custodian experience;
  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification;
  • Knowledge of Access Control and Intrusion Detection Systems;
  • IT experience is a plus;
  • Experience dealing with DOD security requirements and processes;
  • BS/BA Degree or 5 years equivalent work experience in Industrial Security.
