Our company is looking for a Police Officer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol City business, residential and park areas to ensure security of life and property, observe situations and deter crimes;
  • Problem solving : Analyzes information and evaluates results to select the best solution and solve problems;
  • Active Listening: Gives full attention when others are speaking; listens to understand, asks questions as appropriate, and does not interrupt;
  • Conduct limited drug and alcohol testing;
  • Critical Thinking : Comes to well-reasoned conclusions, solutions, and approaches to problems;
  • Monitoring : Measures performance of self; makes improvements and takes appropriate corrective action;
  • Respond to suspicious activities and answer emergency calls for service;
  • Conduct house watches for residents;
  • Prepare and maintain logs and records;
  • Investigate suspicious persons and circumstances;
  • Interact with business owners and general public for community policing;
  • Serves warrants, summonses, subpoenas, civil, and other official papers. Seizes evidence and contraband uncovered in such duties;
  • Assumes control at traffic accidents, assists victims, and investigates causes of accidents;
  • Responds to all requests for assistance relayed by communications officers;
  • Prepares various official reports as required; submits reports to a superior officer.

Requirements:

  • Skill in observation and ability to remember details, such as names, faces, incidents, and other relevant details;
  • Ability to acquire thorough skills in the use of firearms and other police-related tools and when they should be used;
  • Some knowledge of Federal, State, County, and City laws, regulation, ordinances, including domestic violence and juvenile criminal justice laws;
  • Ability to obtain all operator licenses, certifications or permits for equipment used such as radar, breathalyzer, and the like;
  • Working knowledge of basic computer functions and computerized record-keeping systems;
  • Knowledge of police practices, methods, procedures, equipment, and services;
  • Be a citizen of the United States of America;
  • Serves warrants, summonses, subpoenas, civil, and other official papers. Seizes evidence and contraband uncovered in such duties;
  • Assumes control at traffic accidents, assists victims, and investigates causes of accidents;
  • Knowledge of computers and related equipment, hardware and software to prepare reports, maintain and research databases;
  • Ability to perform duties in a manner that builds trust and legitimacy with the community through the application of procedural justice;
  • Patrols assigned zone to maintain visibility and observe and deter possible criminal activity;
  • Responds to all requests for assistance relayed by communications officers;
  • Knowledge of the specific practices and procedures for assigned unit(s);
  • Prepares various official reports as required; submits reports to a superior officer.
