Security Officer – Full Time Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Security Officer – Full Time to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting of all pertinent issues and incidents to the operations manager, the client and other Admiral/ADM Department Managers as appropriate;
- Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property;
- Minimum 3 – 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems;
- Promote safe work practices;
- Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Access control for guests, tenants and vendors;
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner;
- Conduct of routine foot patrols in and around building;
- Enforcement of Client and Company policies and procedures;
- Preserving order and acting to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises;
- Pass a regulated drug test (where required);
- Preparing logs and reports as required;
- Position is subject to pre employment drug screening consistent with federal state and local laws;
- Clear criminal record. Must clear background check.
Requirements:
- Speaks, reads and writes in the English language;
- Minimum 3 – 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems;
- Have the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time;
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports;
- Proficiency in English;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Word, with excellent writing abilities to capture detailed incident reports;
- Working knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures;
- Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting;
- Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers;
- Required to provide a clean Driver’s Abstract;
- As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings such as criminal background checks;
- Work in a fast paced environment;
- Valid Hawaii State Security Guard Card Certification required;
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relations skills;
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
