Business Travel Sales Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Business Travel Sales Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a full working knowledge of the operations of the hotel, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services and Reservations;
- To generate revenue and room nights;
- Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program;
- Develop a proficiency of our sales policies and selling techniques with emphasis on maximizing occupancy and average daily rate (ADR);
- Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities and events;
- To manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
Requirements:
- Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Must possess basic computational ability;
- Ability to establish and master goals;
- Ability to identify and develop accounts with individual guest room needs;
- Knowledge of all departments of hotel;
- Most tasks are performed in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader. There is minimal direct supervision;
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process;
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace;
- Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints;
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Sales ability and skill in both oral and written form.
