Our company is looking for a Carrier Sales Representative to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely pickup and delivery of customer freight;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective carriers;
  • Prospect and cultivate new carrier leads to establish capacity;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Identifying potential business opportunities;
  • Work effectively with your sales and operations colleagues at Soar in order to provide a seamless efficient experience to our customers;
  • Establish deep and mutually rewarding relationships with carriers to expand capacity opportunities;
  • Source and procure carrier services to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of customer freight;
  • Assist Loadsmart in further expanding the company’s carrier network by targeting and developing new enterprise carrier partners;
  • Advocate for carrier partners and drivers to utilize our online platform to communicate, book and track loads autonomously;
  • Negotiate market-driven rates and ensure shipment on-time performance metrics are met;
  • Innovate solutions to improve operational efficiencies;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the best motor carriers to provide outstanding service to our customers;
  • Build strong, lasting partnerships with new and existing carrier partners through phone calls, email and in-person visits;
  • Ensure carriers are compliant with Loadsmart standards and proactively communicate directly if they fall short of expectations.

Requirements:

  • Driven and competitive nature with strong problem solving abilities;
  • Proficiency in using a Windows-based computer;
  • Sales, negotiation or communication experience preferred;
  • Strong desire to learn and work in a fast-paced, energetic environment;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently;
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
  • Results driven work ethic, exemplified by prioritization and persistent continued attention to see projects through to successful completion;
