Cashier Customer Service Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cashier Customer Service to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner;
- Cash handling;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assist in scheduling and confirming service appointments;
- Apply discounts to checks when presented;
- Stock bakery and grab n’ go displays;
- Process guests cash and credit card payments;
- Abide by all Health Department policies and procedures;
- Deliver food trays and bags to tables and guests;
- Cleans and stocks work area (must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. daily up to 3x a day);
- Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operate equipment with peripheral electronic data processing;
- Quickly bag and deliver food with order accuracy;
- Operates a cash register and receives payment from customers;
- Maintains knowledge of products and services available;
- Great customer service skills.
Requirements:
- Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and dynamic work environment;
- Professional appearance and eager to improve on all aspects;
- Responsible for increasing sales through suggestive selling and tie-in sales for products/merchandise and Garden Club;
- Follow the monthly planner for product displays and merchandising;
- Responsible for ensuring that the merchandise has the proper tags and signage;
- You must be able to work night shifts and weekends which would be from 2pm to 10pm. We are not a 24hr store;
- You must have 2 forms of I.D;
- Must have reliable transportation;
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on commitments;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to be flexible and to adapt to changing conditions quickly;
- Excellent attendance;
- Willingness to be open to learn and take on new responsibilities;
- Ability to handle multiple demands and work under pressure;
- Ability to lift 30 pounds safely.
