Investment Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Investment Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Head and Directors as needed;
- Portfolio Worku200a-u200acollaborating with the team to support the Pantera Capital portfolio;
- Represent WIND Ventures within the startup and venture capital community;
- Manages the portfolio reporting for internal purposes;
- Sourcingu200a-u200aproactively identifying new investment opportunities and qualifying inbound leads for the firm by meeting with entrepreneurs;
- Prepare investment memos from due diligence efforts;
- Work on strategic value initiatives between COPEC and from the portfolio;
- Develop investment theses and deep dives on specific market opportunities or technology areas with subject matter experts;
- Mange the execution of WIND Ventures events (e.g. Immersion Days);
- Market and regulatory conditions;
- Work with a clients to improve invstor communication and retention;
- Borrower operating information including enrollment history, demand data and academic performance outcomes;
- Monitor and advise investment team on external trends and events (e.g. market,regulatory, accounting) impacting the investment portfolios;
- Perform research and quantitative analysis for a variety of asset classes, investment managers, and risk/return of portfolio composition, as assigned;
- Develop and maintain models and risk measurement tools to assess portfolio activities and investment managers.
Requirements:
- Passion for blockchain/cryptocurrencies and a desire to use technology as an enabler and catalyst to change the world;
- An ability to work well within a team and be self-guided on a day-to-day basis;
- Technical background with experience reviewing white papers is a plus;
- Strong interpersonal skills. Our Associates are meeting with entrepreneurs and other members of the startup community on a regular basis;
- Intellectually inquisitive, original, and collaborative;
- Candidate must have strong knowledge and skills in MSE xcel, PPT , Word and Outlook;
- Thrive in high-growth, fast-paced environment, with the ability to build out new initiatives and navigate ambiguous situations;
- Must be self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-oriented and fast paced setting;
- Top-quality written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service/sales abilities;
- Knowledge of programming languages an advantage;
- Knowledge of markets and investment analysis, in support of the incorporation of investment ideas and strategies that benefit portfolios;
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or similar advanced degree a plus;
- Community development lending or borrowing background including experience with nonprofit public charter schools;
- Exceptional organizational skills; aptitude to deal with a great volume of customer interaction;
- Excellent writing ability.
