Our company is looking for a Leasing Professional to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet new residents and assist with the move-in process;
- Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure market ready status;
- Qualify potential residents;
- Enter into the computer data relative to residents and potential residents in accordance with company policy;
- Have a comprehensive working knowledge of all lease related documents and be able to accurately complete the documents in a timely manner;
- Occasional weekend hours may be required;
- Become certified as a Leasing Specialist through the company in-house training program;
- Be aware of company and community policies and be able to explain them to residents and potential residents;
- Respond to resident request promptly and courteously and to help resolve resident issues;
- Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude at all times;
- Assist in the leasing activities and resident relations;
- Assist in developing and maintaining a resident retention/renewal program in order to achieve optimum increases and conversion ratios;
- Show the model and available ready vacancies;
- Be aware of the rent levels and amenities of competitive communities;
- Maintain courteous & helpful demeanor with owners, residents, prospective residents, coworkers, vendors, etc.
Requirements:
- Minimum two years’ experience in Sales and/or Customer Service;
- Must have or be willing to learn computer skills;
- Superior customer service and polished communication skills;
- Demonstrate sales and marketing skills;
- Must be able to obtain licenses when required by state;
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to relate to others;
- Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people;
- Ability to read and comprehend reports;
- Ability to perform basic mathematical and accounting functions;
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines;
- Ability to use general office equipment;
- Bachelor’s degree in business is preferred;
- Good organizational skills;
- Generally, no prior training is required. However, completion of in-house training in leasing is required within the first 90 days of employment;
- Understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
