Maintenance Porter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Maintenance Porter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help shuttle service customers;
- Demonstrate ability to perform skills for communicating with residents, team members, and management;
- Happy and fun interactions with residents, families, and staff;
- Neat, clean, and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community;
- Assist maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable);
- Room Set-up;
- Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook;
- Light housekeeping;
- Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community;
- Clean and inspect boiler and storage rooms;
- Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
- Gutters, downspouts and connecting hoses;
- Resolve electrical, plumbing and appliance repair;
- Minor drywall damages;
- Wall molding.
Requirements:
- Beginner computer and Internet knowledge preferred;
- Positive attitude, can-do mentality, confident, outgoing personality eagerness to improve;
- Valid driver’s license;
- HVAC Certification a plus;
- High school diploma or equivalent and proven work history;
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service;
- Ability to work day, weekend, and evening hours as required;
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders;
- Minimum 1-2 years of maintenance experience with apartment experience preferred;
- Reliable transportation to and from work every single day;
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Professional appearance and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
