Our company is looking for a Maintenance Porter to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Help shuttle service customers;
  • Demonstrate ability to perform skills for communicating with residents, team members, and management;
  • Happy and fun interactions with residents, families, and staff;
  • Neat, clean, and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community;
  • Assist maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable);
  • Room Set-up;
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook;
  • Light housekeeping;
  • Demonstrate ability to contribute to and foster a team approach to serving residents and maintaining a successful community;
  • Clean and inspect boiler and storage rooms;
  • Removing bulk trash (including appliances);
  • Gutters, downspouts and connecting hoses;
  • Resolve electrical, plumbing and appliance repair;
  • Minor drywall damages;
  • Wall molding.

Requirements:

  • Beginner computer and Internet knowledge preferred;
  • Positive attitude, can-do mentality, confident, outgoing personality eagerness to improve;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • HVAC Certification a plus;
  • High school diploma or equivalent and proven work history;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally;
  • General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service;
  • Ability to work day, weekend, and evening hours as required;
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders;
  • Minimum 1-2 years of maintenance experience with apartment experience preferred;
  • Reliable transportation to and from work every single day;
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Professional appearance and the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service.
