Part Time Cashier Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part Time Cashier to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated;
- Accurately and efficiently ring on registers (Point of Sale Terminals) and maintain all cash at registers;
- Give 100% attention to the customer you are serving and always thank each customer for their business;
- Ability to pass drug test;
- Assist with the operation of the One-hour Photo department, if applicable;
- Tactfully, professionally and pleasantly deal with customers;
- Put up signs that identify items on sale in weekly advertisements and take down this signage when the sale is over;
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their shopping needs, answering customer inquiries, and resolving customer complaints;
- Stock store shelves and end-caps with merchandise when it is delivered to the store;
- Responsive of safety issues;
- Suggestive selling on things like our UPT/Active Selling program, advertised items, etc;
- WOWing the customers. When a customer thanks you, “MY PLEASURE” is not optional. It is a nationwide Chick-fil-A requirement;
- Accurately process all cash and credit payments;
- Provide exceptional customer service;
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment ;
- Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery ;
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds;
- Proven working experience as a cashier or in customer service;
- Prior experience in retail environment;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Basic mathematical skills;
- Cheerful and Positive Attitude;
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays;
- Values Teamwork;
- Experience as a Cashier;
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively;

- Take orders via phone, in person and tablets accurately.
