Part-time Retail Sales Associate Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part-time Retail Sales Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains cleanliness of shop by straightening items and dusting;
- Packs orders to be shipped;
- Handles cash, processes refunds, exchanges, charges to credit cards and rooms;
- Completes daily shift deposits and reports and other opening or closing duties;
- Assists in store inventory by stocking items as they are delivered. Assists in inventory counts and controls as needed;
- Assist patients in the selection of frames, and coordinate frames to prescription and patient need;
- Recommend specific lenses, and lens coatings to suit patient needs;
- Perform appropriate optical related measurements;
- Develop professional business relationships with other associates and Doctors;
- Drive profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture by practicing through role-playing, and using effective retail sales skills.
Requirements:
- Exceptional sales skills;
- Proactive, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment;
- Strong team player;
- Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends;
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills;
- Polite and professional;
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends);
- Capable of working on your feet, sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, kneeling, and squatting;
- Ability to project a professional image;
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent;
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure;
- 1 year relevant retail or POS system experience in Customer Service;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time;
- Be at least 21 years of age.
