Postdoctoral Fellow Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Remains updated on pertinent literature;
- Contributes to writing of IACUC , IBC and IRB applications and grants to respective agencies;
- Keeps up-to-date with technical and theoretical knowledge related to mycobacterial pathogenesis;
- Provides support for the daily operations of the lab, including training/leading technicians and junior fellows;
- Records and analyzes data from experiments;
- Participates in experimental design and carries out experiments including animal handling and surgeries;
- Perform studies utilizing 3D spheroids and animal models to understand changes of the tumor microenvironment upon adoptive NK cell treatment;
- Assist the PI with research-related community engagement activities;
- Assists in training and mentoring graduate students and technicians;
- Demonstrates perfect compliance with Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) rules and guidelines;
- Pursues independent research grant opportunities;
- Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted;
- Assists in data analysis and presentation of findings at weekly meetings;
- Collaborates with other postdocs and students in the lab;
- Carries out assays to measure macrophage infection and effects of infection on lipid metabolism of the macrophage.
Requirements:
- Imaging (Diffusion MRI and/or resting state MRI);
- Computational neuroscience;
- Circuitry.
