Pre-Sales Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee account penetration by leveraging products and services;
- Prepare and deliver basic and advanced customer training and technical presentations;
- Act as the escalation point of contact for other team members;
- Conduct account reviews and regional sales planning meetings;
- 50% domestic travel to various unanticipated locations as required;
- Liaise with the Account Team and Service Delivery Team on customer projects;
- Work with customers and engineers to assess customer needs and to determine system requirements and solution designs;
- Act as a technical point of contact for the Americas Inside Sales team; provide guidance and training on the technical aspects of Kemp’s products;
- Participate in monthly partner training presentations;
- Assist customers with Proof-of-Concept lab design, implementation, and documentation;
- Assist customers with technical questions via Kemp’s website’s Live Chat;
- Help create RFP and RFI responses;
- Support the account managers by developing a firm understanding of their customer’s technical dilemma(s) and providing a sound technical solution;
- Quickly identify whether Kemp’s product line will be able to solve the issues being presented by the customer;
- Travel with field account managers to on-site sales opportunities, partner trainings, and trade shows.
Requirements:
- 50% domestic travel to various unanticipated locations as required;
- Liaise with the Account Team and Service Delivery Team on customer projects;
- Work with customers and engineers to assess customer needs and to determine system requirements and solution designs;
- Contribute to Orasi marketing initiatives through preparing blogs, updating social media, and designing technical topics;
- Plan and modify product configurations to meet each customer’s needs during Proof of Concepts;
- Conduct account reviews and regional sales planning meetings;
