Service Porter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Service Porter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Self-starter with ability to work well as part of a team or independently;
- In the service lane, production shop and detail department;
- Maintain cardboard discarded at rear of building;
- Install seat covers and floor mats while the vehicle is in the service drive;
- Clean ashtrays/grounds surrounding buildings;
- Empties/Readies used containers/fluid for recycling;
- Clean customer lounge and restock refreshments;
- Maintain internal and external appearance and cleanliness of the store, showroom and lot;
- Install disposable covers and floor mats in vehicle interiors being serviced;
- Transport customers and dealership personnel, as needed;
- Greet service guests as they enter the service drive;
- Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags before returning the completed vehicle to the customer;
- Acceptance by the dealership’s Insurance Company is required;
- Willing to submit to pre-employment drug screen and background check;
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record.

- Valid state driver’s license;
- Ability to operate an automobile;
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to follow instructions;
- Ability to handle machinery safely;
- Able to pass DMV check, background check, and drug screening;
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
