Our company is looking for a Bus Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assists students in the loading and unloading process;
- keep programs and supervisor aware of any emergent situations that may occur during transport;
- Assist at special events by driving customers/dignitaries as required;
- Courteously and professionally transport customers to/from various locations as required;
- Report any unsafe environment to supervisors immediately;
- Ensure that their vehicles are operating properly each day by testing brakes, tires and other components;
- Ensure that students under nine years old are being picked up at stops by a parent/guardian;
- Be attentive to traffic and weather conditions while staying on schedule and ensuring the safety of passengers;
- Stop at all stops on the route and report any delays or deviations in schedule to the transportation office;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Transports only authorized students and authorized school personnel;
- Conducts pre-trip inspection of school bus before each operation and completes pre-trip inspection report;
- Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus;
- Deliver buses to specified locations;
- Performs interior bus cleaning daily, cleans windows and mirrors and exterior as needed.
Requirements:
- At least 21 years old;
- Good verbal communication skills;
- Be subject to a background check, drug screen & physical;
- Must be at least 21 years of age;
- Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years w/ CDL BPS endorsement;
- Maintain a good attendance record;
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a physical;
- Report to work on time and in proper uniform;
- Bay Area driving directions to popular sites and locations;
- Class B driver’s license with passenger endorsement;
- Have a reputation of being reliable and on-time;
- 3+ years school bus driving experience preferred;
- Valid driver s license for at least 3 years;
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear;
- Must possess a valid CDL license with a school bus endorsement.
