Chief Mechanical Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Chief Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide our clients with quality service and on-time project delivery;
- Provide construction administration;
- Work closely with other engineers, designers, and technicians to meet deadlines and client expectations;
- Provide quality control on projects that are produced by lower level engineers;
- Assistant with project management on select projects;
- Manage shop drawings and submittals;
- Manage project issues and resolutions;
- Provide feedback on standards and best practices;
- Lead, mentor and support a team of 2-5 engineers;
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients, customers and contractors;
- Perform all engineering analysis required and develop quality design for projects;
- Participate in project interviews and pursuits.
Requirements:
- Skilled Revit and CADD user;
- Understanding of current building codes & regulations;
- Adept at prioritizing workload and proactively communicating in order to ensure deadlines are met;
- Ability to apply technical expertise quickly and offer client’s strong solutions in the field;
- Licensed Professional Engineer;
- Expert level understanding of MEP drawings and specifications;
- Extremely responsive and dedicated to meeting expectations;
- Proven producer of detailed, thorough, and error free work product;
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a team environment;
- 8-10+ years of experience in Mechanical Building Systems (HVAC & Plumbing);
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architectural Engineering preferred;
- Personable individuals who are able to earn the trust of others.
