Our company is looking for a Class A CDL Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • May help load and unload product from the vehicle and verify contents against shipping invoices or inventories;
  • Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times;
  • Track and report working hours;
  • Make safety a priority at all times;
  • Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely deliveries;
  • Communicate with dispatch as needed;
  • Coordinating deliveries with Dispatch;
  • Ensuring that the required placard accurately represents the chemical onboard;
  • Diagnosing and maintenance of mechanical aspect of vehicle;
  • Load and unload product from the vehicle and verify contents against shipping invoices or inventories;
  • When not at port you will be on a straight truck making local deliveries of granite/marble slabs. All deliveries are scheduled to be performed within;
  • Cuts and disposes of bundle wood;
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles;
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions, and routes;
  • Responsible for daily maintenance of vehicle to remain in proper and safe working order.

Requirements:

  • Proficient using GPS and other routing systems;
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed;
  • Basic mechanical skills to perform regular vehicle inspections;
  • Local delivery experience preferred;
  • Must pass background check;
  • High level of composure and proper stress management;
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time;
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required;
  • High level of composure and good stress management;
  • Class A CDL with Interstate Certification as well as Haz-Mat & Tanker endorsements;
  • Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement;
  • Recent DMV printout;
  • Hazmat endorsement;
  • Lifting up to 90 lbs;
  • At least 1 year of recent commercial driving experience.
