Class A CDL – Regional Truck Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL – Regional Truck Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver products to customers;
- Other duties may be assigned;
- Fills out the proper paper work;
- Must communicate with the dispatch office daily for the next day’s assignment;
- Must have all the correct invoices for each customer;
- Maintain a good safety record;
- Makes sure the correct product is delivered to the right customers;
- Turns in any cash or checks that were picked up at customers on a daily basis;
- Picks up returns at customers;
- Must drive safely and treat customers with courtesy;
- Must have complete control of equipment and product at all times;
- You’ll be driving a semi-truck with a trailer;
- 6 months OTR exp last 12 months or 1 yr OTR exp last 3 yrs;
- Oversee Load (all no-touch freight);
- Majority drop and hook.
Requirements:
- Clean MVR;
- Class A CDL with Interstate Certification as well as Haz-Mat & Tanker endorsements;
- 2 years tractor trailer driving experience;
- 6 mo Tanker experience preferred;
- DOT Recordable is acceptable as long as there was no injury;
- Have a CDL A license;
- Must be atleast 21 years old;
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening;
- Majority drop and hook;
- Must be able to drive standard transmission;
- 22+ years of age;
- 6 months OTR exp last 12 months or 1 yr OTR exp last 3 yrs;
- You’ll be driving a semi-truck with a trailer;
- 6 months OTR (3 state minimum) exp in last 12 months or 1 yr OTR exp last 3 yrs;
- Oversee Load (all no-touch freight).
