Forklift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Forklift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands or arms;
- Frequently required to talk or hear and read instructions on a computer monitor and/or printed on paper;
- Regularly required to view items at an extremely close range and must be able to adjust and readjust focus;
- Regularly required to stand, kneel or stoop, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds;
- Able to move incoming inventory to storage quickly and efficiently;
- Ensure all safety standards are being met while operating forklift;
- Able to accurately read parts orders and quickly pick orders for shipping.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred;
- Must maintain productivity and accuracy standards;
- Ability to use computer systems to find products;
- Able to work in a temperature controlled warehouse that is 32-36 degrees with a windchill factor year round;
- May lift and/or move 25-50 pounds cases frequently;
- Previous forklift experience necessary;
- At least one year of general warehouse experience;
- Basic math skills for counting and managing inventory;
- Flexibility to work overtime during busy periods on various shifts.
