Logistics Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Logistics Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment;
- Ship, Receive, and Deliver supplies, materials and equipment;
- Prepare shipping paperwork according to Air Liquide Policy and D.O.T regulations;
- Operate a forklift to load and unload carrier trucks;
- Perform shipping and receiving related ERP transactions;
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse;
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area;
- Maintain Inventory Control records;
- Contact Common Carriers and Air Liquide locations to coordinate delivery and pickup of cylinders, and other materials;
- Drives a culture of “Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time” with their actions and their words on a daily basis;
- Conduct inventory cycle counts;
- Follow all work processes and work instructions relevant to specific assignments;
- Escalates any potential Safety or Quality concerns;
- Ensure accuracy of all transactions within ERP to ensure accurate data for operational efficiency;
- Successfully completes all assigned trainings.
Requirements:
- Perform and execute organization’s safety programs and policies, and compliance knowledge assessments;
- Six months’ experience in warehouse/supply chain/logistics;
- Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components;
- Associates degree;
- Display solid organizational skills;
- Must be able to move around a large warehouse for 8 or more hours in a fast-paced environment;
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis;
- Must be able to lift 35+ lbs;
- Exhibit effective and proactive communication across all departments and levels;
- Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components;
- Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test in order to wear a full face respirator as required;
- Prior experience working in a team-oriented environment;
- Proven attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy;
- Experience solving problems both independently and with others.
