Packing Operator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Packing Operator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Help co-workers in other positions if needed;
- Housekeeping and sanitation of operating areas;
- Using proper PPE for quality efficiency’s;
- Sample and perform specific test of finished totes;
- Understanding quality and safety procedures;
- Assist in monthly inventory process when scheduled;
- Perform safe and efficient LO/TO;
- Record any data and inventory efficiently and accurately.
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined individual who can help troubleshoot their system;
- Must possess the ability to work as a positive team member;
- Capability to run Feederline Equipment for Texturized Feed when support is not available;
- Must be able to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division);
- Must possess knowledge of process control and packaging equipment;
- Proficiently operate a forklift truck in a safe manner;
- Detail oriented with the ability to organize and multitask;
- Food manufacturing experience is preferred;
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision;
- Ability to effectively communicate with peers and leadership;
- Basic quantitative and analytical skills desired;
- Ability to work cross-functionally, convey equipment issues, and maintain confidentiality;
- Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays based on business need;
- 1+ years of production experience in food manufacturing desired;
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
