Part Time Delivery Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Part Time Delivery Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Knows menu and able to describe items;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Assists in other areas of the restaurant when needed;
- Completes opening and/or closing checklists;
- Provide back end with information on completed deliveries, on a regular basis;
- Other duties as assigned by Company Management;
- Keeps car clean and in good working condition;
- Obtain orders from bakery manager for delivery and pick-up activities;
- Practice defensive driving and comply with all traffic laws and dealership policies and procedures;
- Introduce self to customers and provide them with information of deliveries;
- Check to see destination and customer information and ensure that a proper route plan is charted out;
- Keeps pace with incoming delivery orders;
- Support the department by proactively identifying and reporting inventory needs and conducting inventory maintenance;
- Maintain good working records for time and distance, and all regulatory records as directed;
- Delivers finished menu items to guest’s home or office.
Requirements:
- High energy with the ability to effectively perform all functions of the store and multitasking effectively;
- Maintain a professional appearance;
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Must have some type of delivery vehicle. This can be a scooter, car, bike, or any type of reliable transportation method;
- Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application;
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Must have the authorization to work in this country without visa sponsorship;
- Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently;
- Must have a valid and unrestricted driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record from the State Bureau of Motor Vehicles;
- Experience in a delivery, retail sales or customer service position;
- Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must have good color perception;
- Professional appearance and demeanor;
- Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone;
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
