Our company is looking for a Route Sales Representative to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide the customer with an accurate delivery ticket and picking list;
  • Be able to build customer confidence in the ability of the company and you to meet their needs;
  • Be accountable for accurate sales call reporting, quotation follow up and closing transactions in a timely manner;
  • Be knowledgeable of company product offerings and their related prime market applications and aftermarket potential;
  • Have an established in-depth knowledge of customers and markets within the assigned territory;
  • Exhibit personal confidence and professionalism in all business processes;
  • Possess good problem solving skills with the ability to utilize persuasive sales techniques to gain customer confidence;
  • Be able to develop and maintain an efficient travel routing system to include an organized and efficient loading/unloading system;
  • Be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds;
  • Learn the company policies and procedures and work within them, whether you are in the office, at the warehouse or delivering goods to a customer;
  • Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues in a courteous, prompt manner in order to maintain a loyal partnership with all customers;
  • Deliver company products from the warehouse to the customer, loading and unloading whenever necessary;
  • Meet sales goals set with a supervisor every six months to guarantee that your territory is growing appropriately and sales goals are being met;
  • Ensure that effective communication is used at all levels of the customer transaction and always be available when issues arise;
  • Build strong relationships with your customers in a fast-paced, constantly moving environment.

Requirements:

  • Have and maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or safety violations;
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in the operation of vehicles and have a verifiable minimum one year experience of safe and successful driving;
  • Recognize colors, sizes and types of product and count, add and subtract accurately;
  • Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service and route sales;
  • Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License, CDL when applicable;
  • Must have at least one year of experience in Route Sales.
