The Sanitizer works under moderate supervision. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Responsibilities:

  • Clean stairwells once a quarter;
  • Check upstairs bays for soap, towels and sanitizer once a day;
  • Help popcorn room during weekly clean out, with foaming and passing swabs;
  • Maintain a clean work environment in the Distribution Center;
  • Follow directions;
  • Continually meet assigned production standards;
  • Sweep and clean floors, empty trash cans, clean under dock plates, wipe down racks, clean windows, and pick up pallets as needed;
  • Measure, weigh, or mix cleaning solutions, using measuring tanks, calibrated rods or suction tubes;
  • Food grade sanitation of equipment using chemicals;

Requirements:

  • Mix and use chemicals related to cleaning and sanitizing equipment;
  • Basic Mathematical Skills (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide);
  • Must pass background check;
  • Mechanically removes and replaces components of processing equipment for cleaning purposes;
  • Experience in Operation of Warehouse Equipment to Include: Reach Trucks, Pallet Jacks, Sweeper, Floor Scrubber, Bailer, Hydraulic Trash Compactor;
  • 18+ years old;
  • May be required to apply pesticides and maintain cleanliness outside the food manufacturing areas;
  • Able to Read and Write Legibly; Able to Follow Orders;
  • Maintains records, files, and processes single documents;
  • Proceeds with duties by following several standardized procedures and may refer to supervisor if problems arise;
  • Operates sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other janitorial type equipment;
  • Able to Work with Little Direct Supervision;
  • Cleans and sanitizes food processing equipment, floors, walls and related facilities;
  • Must pass drug screen;
  • May order materials, record expenditures, and prepare reports as directed.
