Transportation Project Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Transportation Project Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Interacting with client;
- Assisting in the production of proposals, presentations and letters of interest;
- Developing, overseeing and monitoring project activities including scope, budget and schedule management;
- Preparing cost estimates;
- Monitor budgets/progress to ensure profitability;
- Coach, counsel, and retrain staff as required;
- Manages multiple transportationprojects and provides day to day leadership for team members;
- Establish relationships with key consumer agencies to facilitate direct communication and feedback as well as proactive solutions to service concerns;
- Evaluates client needs and identifies requirements;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Work closely with and have a deep understanding of the safety department deliverables for a Paratransit facility;
- Identify and expedite customer complaints that require immediate attention and escalate situations as needed to client agency;
- Determines, monitors andreviews costs, operational budgets, schedules and staffing requirements for projectteams using PM dashboard;
- Participate in labor relations meetings and hearings;
- Clientcoordination.
Requirements:
- Experience with Microstation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, GEOPAK, InRoads or any other roadway design software;
- Previous experience in consultative engineering with a primary focus on TxDOT or other DOT transportation projects is preferred;
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas or have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire;
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET – accredited program;
- 9+ years of related experience;
- Ability to communicate effectively on all levels;
- P.E. license;
- Expert knowledge of windows-based computer operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite;
- 4+ years of project management experience;
- Assist in identifying validity of the liquidated damages through investigation;
- Ensure all reconciliations are completed timely and accurately each month;
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Paratransit Management;
- Excellent speaking, writing, and organization skills;
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
