Our company is looking for a Truck Driver to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive attitude with customers;
  • Perform basic upkeep to tractor, i.e. grease fifth wheel plate, clean inside of cab with disinfectant wipes;
  • May be required to work extended hours due to business needs;
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of goods or equipment to be transported;
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers;
  • Performs other duties as required;
  • Plan routes using GPS system;
  • Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible;
  • Report any damage of freight incurred during transportation to the supervisor or dispatcher;
  • Conduct daily inspections of the truck at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management;
  • Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process;
  • Support the mission statement of The Salvation Army;
  • Report defects, accidents or violations.

Requirements:
