Warehouse Worker – 2nd shift Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Warehouse Worker – 2nd shift to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Determine work assignments and procedures. Shovel and sweep work areas;
- Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process;
- Provide assistance in the production of wiring assemblies;
- Assurance of inventory accuracy and adherence to customer quality programs;
- Loading of outbound shipments including: verification of product count, assurance of no existing damage, complete completing required paperwork;
- Trailer inspections, house-keeping, cycle counting, forklift inspections and other assigned tasks;
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts;
- Unloading of inbound shipments including: verification of product count, assurance of no existing damage, completing required paperwork.
Requirements:
- Warehouse worker applicants must be willing to learn when trained;
- Steel toed shoes required;
- High School or GED;
- Must be comfortable working on a mezzanine floor 3 stories high;
- Equipment Operation experience preferred. Especially, Sit-down and Stand-up Forklift, OPRS, Tugger, or Turret;
- Able to be on feet up to 10 hours a day;
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Warehouse Worker;
- Push/Pull up to 100 lbs;
- Must be able to arrive on time or early for all shifts;
- All candidates for the warehouse worker position will be subject to pre-employment drug and background screen;
- Must be comfortable on being on equipment that lifts applicant’s person as far as 20 feet in the air;
- Able to lift 50 lbs occasionally;
- Experience with material handling;
- High school diploma or equivalent.
