Security Architect Job Description Template<\/h2>\n        \n        \n        \n            <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our company is looking for a Network Security Architect to join our team. <\/p>\n        \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Keeps technology and service managers aware of key customer issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts;<\/li><li>Sells the architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results;<\/li><li>Identifies and when necessary, proposes variances to the architecture to accommodate project needs;<\/li><li>Recommends changes that impact the strategic direction;<\/li><li>Consults with project teams to ensure compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure and services;<\/li><li>Coordinates architecture implementation and modification activities;<\/li><li>Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements;<\/li><li>Develop infrastructure solution architectures at both the application and organization service levels;<\/li><li>Establish frameworks, process models and interactions with users and other systems;<\/li><li>Assist with hunts, translate them into iterative processes;<\/li><li>Create policies and procedures as needed;<\/li><li>Mentor fellow security team members;<\/li><li>Create well-defined Network Security Architecture for all of 8&#215;8\u2019s networks;<\/li><li>Act as the technical authority for assessment and approval of specifications for solution construction or change;<\/li><li>Work with customers to discover and gather technical and business requirements.<\/li><\/ul>\n    \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Experience in Vendor Selection;<\/li><li>Certifications: CISSP, ISSAP, GIAC, various vendor specific certs;<\/li><li>Strong analytical and technical skills;<\/li><li>Must work out of an office in Houston, TX;<\/li><li>Experience with multiple security vendors, such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Fortinet;<\/li><li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field;<\/li><li>Travel up to 25% as required;<\/li><li>Good oral and written communication skills;<\/li><li>B.S. in Network Operations, or Similar;<\/li><li>5 Years\u2019 Experience Managing Network Security Devices;<\/li><li>Experience with Netflow or PCAP analysis;<\/li><li>7+ years of experience in a technical infrastructure or systems role prior to security experience within the network discipline;<\/li><li>Knowledge of the underlying logic that security alerts are built upon and apply them when analyzing raw logs and creating new dashboards and alerts;<\/li><li>A solid understanding of information security&#8217;s role in an enterprise business setting;<\/li><li>Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.<\/li><\/ul>\n    \n    \n    <\/div><\/div>\n    \n
