{"id":25085,"date":"2020-03-26T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-25T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/job-description\/?p=scientist"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T21:00:00","slug":"scientist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jooble.org\/job-description\/math\/scientist\/","title":{"rendered":"Scientist"},"content":{"rendered":"\n    \n    <div class=\"wp-block-button aligncenter is-style-fill\">\n        <a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-color has-background\" href=\"https:\/\/jooble.org\/jobs-scientist\" style=\"background-color:#0b71d9;color:#ffffff;border-radius:3px\" rel=\"https:\/\/jooble.org\/jobs-scientist\">\n        <strong> View Scientist jobs<\/strong>\n        <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n    \n    \n    \n    <div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#eff2f6\">\n        <div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n        \n            <h2 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Scientist Job Description Template<\/h2>\n        \n        \n        \n            <p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our company is looking for a Scientist to join our team. <\/p>\n        \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Conceptualize and implement technical advances in order to develop and improve assays for spatially-resolved genomic profiling;<\/li><li>Maintain and update laboratory notebooks;<\/li><li>Contribute to the company\u2019s intellectual property portfolio by documenting results and filing for IP protection;<\/li><li>Respond to spills per CP 030-0202 Chemical Spill Response;<\/li><li>Provide guidance to other members of the team in the field of cell biology;<\/li><li>Drives for creative problem solving and quickly identifies roadblocks for quick resolution;<\/li><li>Allocates time and resources efficiently, effectively prioritizes, and continually seeks ways to improve individual and corporate efficiency;<\/li><li>Process Optimization: develop new assay chemistries with the goal of minimizing cost and turnaround time while maintaining accuracy;<\/li><li>Follows product development lifecycle process and design control;<\/li><li>Presents data at technical meetings;<\/li><li>Coordinates multiple global sites to plan, schedule, and execute on late stage development, verification, transfer and validation activities;<\/li><li>Maintaining accurate records, writing reports, and preparing\/giving presentations;<\/li><li>Understanding of sample preparation microfluidics on the GeneXpert platform;<\/li><li>Provide guidance and supervise junior research associates;<\/li><li>Lentiviral transduction techniques for ORF-overexpression experiments or RNAi and CRISPR-Cas9 knockdown\/knockout experiments.<\/li><\/ul>\n    \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Experience culturing different mammalian brain cell types including human iPSCs, immortalized cells, and primary cells;<\/li><li>Experience developing and optimizing scientific protocols or Standard Operating Procedures;<\/li><li>Demonstrated ability to innovate novel scientific approaches in order to address a target experimental goal or hypothesis;<\/li><li>2 years of laboratory experience (academia or industry);<\/li><li>Lifting;<\/li><li>Hands-on experience with in-situ molecular biology protocols (immunohistochemistry or FISH) is a plus, single-cell genomics background preferred;<\/li><li>Medical device and\/or in vitro Diagnostic product launch experience is highly preferred;<\/li><li>Be highly goal-oriented, self-driven and organized, and be able to thrive in an atmosphere of shifting demands and priorities;<\/li><li>Practical knowledge of design control and development of IVD assays for a regulated market;<\/li><li>Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;<\/li><li>Experience performing nucleic acid extraction\/purificaiton;<\/li><li>Data and Statistical Analysis;<\/li><li>Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload;<\/li><li>Ph.D. with working experience in the life science industry;
