  \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Build custom data imports as required;<\/li><li>Mentor junior team members as needed;<\/li><li>Demonstrate SQL best practices in regards to security and privacy as well as design;<\/li><li>Troubleshoot and problem solve SQL database issues;<\/li><li>Propose technical solutions, new application design, process flows;<\/li><li>Stress test and optimize the system for efficiency in a distributed database;<\/li><li>Propose and implement database architectural changes to make database infrastructure highly scalable and optimized;<\/li><li>Implement and test software\/server upgrades as needed to gain better functionality;<\/li><li>Identify and understand business needs during requirements gathering to effectively design, develop, test, and deploy reports or applications;<\/li><li>Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the department and with other departments and clients;<\/li><li>Be responsive and timely with ad-hoc data requests;<\/li><li>Advise developers on the most efficient database designs (tables, datatypes, stored procedures, functions, etc.);<\/li><li>Ensure that new database code meets company standards for readability, reliability, and performance;<\/li><li>Design indexes for existing applications, choosing when to add or remove indexes;<\/li><li>Provide developers a list of the top 10 most resource-intensive queries on the server and suggest ways to improve performance on each.<\/li><\/ul>\n    \n    \n    \n        <h3 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" style=\"color:#1c7ebc\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n    \n\n    \n        <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Strong skills in performance turning especially tuning complex queries, procedure and indexing strategies;<\/li><li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;<\/li><li>C#, VB application development experience;<\/li><li>Motivated to share knowledge in a team environment;<\/li><li>Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment;<\/li><li>BS\/BA in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or relevant degree is highly preferred;<\/li><li>SSIS: 5+ experience;<\/li><li>Self-directed and able to prioritize own workload;<\/li><li>Healthcare industry experience helpful;<\/li><li>xcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem solving skills;<\/li><li>Ability to learn quickly and \u2018get things done\u2019<\/li><li>DR knowledge with Always On, SQL log shipping, DB mirroring, Replication;<\/li><li>Expert level experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008\/2012 Enterprise
