The successful candidate is expected to report to Rochester, New York on a full‑time basis.

Role Summary: The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will support a highly automated, three‑shift manufacturing operation of the Global Propulsion System (GPS). The engineer will develop and implement engineering solutions to improve safety, uptime, and quality, and will work closely with manufacturing, process, product, mechanical and controls engineering teams.

Responsibilities Develop engineering solutions that result in continuous improvement in safety, uptime, and quality.

Use data to identify process conditions and develop solutions.

Summarize and evaluate reject and defect data to drive continuous improvement.

Provide statistical analysis of manufacturing process data.

Actively participate in change management to assure no effect on product quality.

Verify compliance to quality requirements and procedures.

Communicate and coordinate information to and from internal and external customers.

Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop creative solutions.

Remain flexible and at times work extended and non‑core hours to ensure issues are worked to resolution.

Support corporate and local Global Manufacturing Systems (GMS) goals related to safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost, and environment.

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field(s).

Experience with Quality System (PPAP, AIAG, APQP, or equivalent systems).

Ability to understand and assess complex engineering issues.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.

Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software (QDAS highly preferred).

Entry‑level understanding and proficiency in 3D CAD environments (Solidworks).

Preferred Qualifications Quality knowledge and ability to evaluate conformance to documented product and process specifications.

Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).

Containment and understanding of customer satisfaction metrics.

Problem‑solving certification / Lean Six Sigma Belt certification.

Understanding of ISO/IATF quality requirements.

SQL/database knowledge.

2+ years experience working in manufacturing environment(s).

Ability to multi‑task, support several projects and assign priority appropriately.
