Description:
Seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for night shift coverage.
The role consists of 80% labor and delivery and 20% mother and baby care.
Weekend rotation and coverage will be discussed during the interview process.
Flexibility is desired for this position.
Minimal requests for time off are preferred.
Candidates must have relevant experience and previous travel assignments.
Local candidates will not be considered.
It is essential to have experience with charting systems and community hospital experience.
Charge experience is preferred, but not required.
The patient ratio is 2 for both days and nights.
The unit supports interdisciplinary teamwork with various services available.
Daily census includes neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
The Labor and Delivery unit handles level III obstetric care.
The facilities support a range of procedures and diagnoses associated with labor and delivery.
Candidates should be comfortable caring for families in couplet care.
Special procedures and conditions dealt with include antepartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum issues.
Candidates must have skills in administering blood, managing complications, and supporting breastfeeding.
The duties may include assisting with various deliveries and postpartum care.
Adaptability and commitment to high standards of patient care are essential.
