Monitoring patient health and measuring vital signs.Assisting the healthcare team with administering treatments.Collecting liquid samples or specimens for testing.Performing basic procedures such as minor wound care, accu checks, ekg's (as directed by nursing)Reporting any changes in patients' conditions to a registered nurse or physician.Timely safety rounds on all patients during the shift and documented.Maintaining close communication with the patient's healthcare team.Assisting with medical or behavioral emergenciesInspect the facility and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, PPE etc.)Other duties as assignedRequirements:High school diploma/GED required.Experience working in patient care for 2 years minimum, behavioral health preferred.Working knowledge of medical terminology.Working knowledge of patient care practice, methods, and Illinois regulations.
