Manufacturing quality engineering

This person will contribute to the overall success of Siemens' manufacturing operations by minimizing defects, reducing waste, and enhancing customer satisfaction through consistent product quality. Primary responsibility is to help maintain our business unit's Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet industry standards and customer requirements under the oversight of the Quality Manager. Responsible for ensuring our products meet ISO 9001:2015 quality standards throughout our established manufacturing processes. Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implement quality processes, and continuously improve product quality.

Integrated Management System – Lead and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS), supporting factory certification and compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Supplier Quality – Improve supplier performance through root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management, and effective resolution of quality issues.

Product Reliability – Manage warranty claims, track failure costs, and partner with Field Service to strengthen product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Quality Planning and Inspection – Develop and maintain process failure mode and effects analyses (PFMEAs), conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), and oversee incoming and in-process quality controls.

Continuous Improvement – Analyze manufacturing and quality data to improve processes, reduce defects and waste, and lower cost of poor quality (CoPQ).

Customer and Leadership Reporting – Represent Siemens in customer quality reviews and provide monthly quality performance reports to senior management.

Quality Projects – Complete quality-related assignments and special projects that support site quality objectives and cross-functional manufacturing operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Manufacturing quality engineering, quality assurance, or quality control in a production environment.
• Root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive action (CAPA), and structured problem-solving methods.
• Metrology, part inspection, validation, First Article Inspection, and incoming or in-process quality controls.
• Statistical analysis, quality data analysis, and process improvement to monitor product quality and reduce defects.
• Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and Power BI for data mining, reporting, and cross-functional communication.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Internal Auditor certification, or comparable quality certification.

• Experience applying Six Sigma methods and Agile project management practices.
• Experience using SAP in a manufacturing or quality environment.
• Experience with advanced data analysis tools and automation, including VBA, macros, or SQL.
