Woodbridge Holdings, Inc. has an opening at its subsidiary, Olympic Products, LLC, in Greensboro, NC, for a Process Engineer position. Follow all general safety regulations and use provided safety equipment as required. Understand ISO 9001 requirements / Olympic Quality Policy. Always follow work instructions and procedures as established through Olympic Quality Policy. Modify existing reporting systems for new methods, new material specifications and new products. Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities. Implement process improvements. Plan and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products. Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures. Develop and modify foam formulations that meet customer and organization expectations. Position requires a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent foreign degree plus two years of experience in manufacturing, at least one year of which was in the polymer industry; thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, process controls and fluid flow phenomena; and manipulation of production numbers to calculate yields, usages, and various other process indicators.

Develop formulations and pour patterns to meet production specifications

Responsible for the daily process operations

Liaison with maintenance to solve process equipment problems

Liaison with production to address production concerns

Plan and execute process improvement experiments

Optimize raw material usage and minimize waste

Participate in health & safety and quality audit process

One to two years’ experience in an engineering role

Strong mechanical aptitude

Knowledge of SPC and automotive quality standards, statistical experiments, ladder logic, metering pumps, drives, sensors and transducers, control theory, hydraulics, pneumatic are assets.

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen is a plus

Required to work various shifts

Computer skills, such as AutoCAD, Windows, spreadsheets, databases and word processing software
