CAD Engineering

Overview Designer – New Product Introduction (NPI) team at nVent. You will work with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to support product development, manufacturing, and customer solutions.

Responsibilities Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for components, assemblies, and systems using SolidWorks.

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to ensure design intent and manufacturability.

Maintain drawing standards and documentation in accordance with company and industry guidelines.

Support prototype development and testing by providing accurate design data and documentation.

Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Manage and organize CAD files and design documentation within PLM systems.

Design, build, and help qualify fixtures, custom tools, and inspection tools.

Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in CAD, mechanical design, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Ideally 5+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Proficient in SolidWorks software.

Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay range: $23.90 – $44.40 per hour, depending on position and location.
