Description:
VytlOne is currently recruiting for a compassionate, customer service-oriented Pharmacist Per Diem (PRN) for Whatley Health Services Pharmacy, a community healthcare center-based retail pharmacy located in Tuscaloosa, AL. In this integrated model, the Pharmacist will work closely with providers and clinic staff collaboratively, providing team-based medicine with a strong pharmacy component to deliver optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform all dispensing duties of a pharmacist, ensuring safe and accurate dispensing for all customers, and adhere to all State and Federal Pharmacy laws regarding medication dispensing and record keeping.
Expand and enhance clinical services in the ambulatory care setting, including MTM.
Precept pharmacy students and residents.
Serve as a drug information resource to patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in Alabama.
Ability to supervise pharmacy staff according to policies and laws.
Knowledge of drugs, indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and administration.
Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Knowledge of policies regarding pharmaceutical disbursement.
Commitment to quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Proficiency in personal computers and software applications.
Ability to assume responsibilities in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
