Loan Processor (Banking)

The Loan Closing Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Mortgage Banker by reviewing application and rate lock documentation. Acting as a liaison, the specialist ensures that applications meet Freddie Mac and Berkadia guidelines and prepares Berkadia Commitments and rate locks. Additionally, the Loan Closing Specialist coordinates with the Closers to monitor and resolve closing and pre‑closing issues across various platforms, including client relations, legal, underwriting, and servicing.

Review application and rate lock documentation.

ensure rate lock is perfected and distribute information to all relevant parties, including Mortgage Banker, Counsel, Underwriter, and Closer.

Track post‑closing documents and coordinate with external counsel and servicing to upload these documents promptly.

Reconcile good faith accounts and perform various other accounting functions related to closing.

Perform administrative duties as assigned to support the goals of the company’s Closing function.

Proficiency in using loan management systems and software, such as OmniView.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
