This position supports the HR department by responding to general inquiries, directing employees to the appropriate HR contact, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks. The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring efficient HR operations and delivering a positive employee experience. **Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, answering general HR questions and directing inquiries to the appropriate HR staff.* Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs in areas such as benefits, payroll, leave administration, and general HR processes.* Provide administrative support to various HR functions, including, but not limited to, benefits, payroll, employee relations, training & development, recruitments, and onboarding.* Maintain HR files, records, and databases ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.* Assist with compliance tracking, including maintaining required trainings and ensuring HR documentation meets regulatory standards.* Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with HR communications, newsletters, or announcements.* Translate basic HR documents or communications into Spanish as needed and provide interpretation support for Spanish-speaking employees.* Perform other HR-related duties as assigned to support departmental needs.* Serve as liaison and information resource for faculty and staff, consults with General Counsel and others on problems, and determines final resolution.* Other duties and/or projects as assigned by leadership.* Active support for the College’s Principles of Community and Institutional Values in the performance of job duties. **Basic understanding of HR principles and practices, including benefits, payroll, and recruitment processes.* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse employees and provide excellent customer service; customer-service oriented collaborative team environment.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn HRIS systems.* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and an understanding of information technology and relational database applications. **QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:** **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job.
