Full Time: 11AM-7PM (NOC), Rotating 4 days on 2 Days off

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for aiding the professional staff. Delivers direct care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.) Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Adheres to the facility’s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.

The Orchards is our newly constructed 5 star CMS rate health center with assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. The Orchards uses state of the art equipment to achieve excellent clinical outcomes as recognized by the acute hospital. We have a heavy focus on education and provide tuition assistance as well as scholarship. The CNA performs personal care services, within the framework of the individual resident’s activities of daily living and functional abilities.

• The CNA documents all information pertaining to each assigned resident on each shift accurately and timely. Meal percentages, intake and out put recordings will be documented and reported accurately to the responsible charge nurse every shift. Responsible for reporting any significant changes in resident condition, incident/accidents, injuries and/or skin integrity issues noted, immediately to the charge nurse. Responsible for transportation of their respective residents to and from activities, meals and therapy as indicated.
• The CNA participates in all required/mandatory in-services; as well any additionally offered in-service programs as evidenced by their full knowledge of all required policies/procedures and ability to perform their job duties accurately and timely. Works as a team player, as evidenced by consistently assisting other staff members when help is needed.
• Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Competency Program, with current certification in the state of California.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or shower chair, pushing up to generally 200 +/- lbs. Must be able to transfer, turn and position a resident generally weighing up to 125 lbs. When lifting over 35 lbs, you are required to ask for assistance. Occasionally push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs.
