Our goal is to provide quality care to every patient with non-judgmental compassion and to live our mantra to “Always Do The Right Thing!”, The Nurse Practitioner (NP) under the supervision of the Site Medical Director and other site Physicians offers a comprehensive range of medical services to incarcerated patients in accordance with established policy and state guidelines. They ensure necessary documentation of services is provided to the Site Medical Director or designee to monitor the provision of clinical services. Additionally, they communicate scheduling changes to the Medical Director and H.S.A. and make arrangements for coverage of medical services if unavailable for an extended period of time.

Conduct routine and emergency medical care for inmates, including chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds, and emergency treatment on site.

Adhere to established policies and procedures for medical care, including documentation in SOAP format, adherence to formulary regimens, and utilizing available in-house resources for treatment.

Assume responsibility and accountability for individual judgments and actions, while also reporting any concerns or questions to the Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.

Provide input into facility mandatory committees as requested.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience and corrections experience is preferred

Scheduling flexibility required to be able to rotate hours and shifts, if needed, and to be called during emergency situations to provide coverage.

Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment
