Cook- Nursing Home Full Time

Edenbrook of Sheboygan , part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is looking for a Full-time Cook for our wonderful facility!
Position: Cook (Full-time)
Must be available to work both AM (6 AM-1 PM) and PM (12 PM-6:30 PM) shifts, primarily PM.
Must work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.)
Follow recipes and dietary guidelines to prepare meals according to residents' specific dietary needs
Prepare and cook large quantities of food while maintaining consistency, quality, and proper portion sizes
Cook food with various utensils or grillers
Check food while cooking to stir or turn
Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Check the quality of ingredients
Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Experience preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and consistency
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware

Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)

Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

Restaurant/Healthcare experience is required

High school diploma or equivalent; A Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
