Buyer/Planner

The Buyer/Planner is responsible for sourcing and procuring electronic components and related materials to support production and product development as well as planning the day to day production, ordering, safety stocks and shipping through the MRP and Job Board This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost control, and ensuring continuity of supply in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

________________________________________Source and procure electro-mechanical components (e.g., semiconductors, PCBs, connectors, passive components, metals, wire, inverters)

Develop and implement sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and component shortages

Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, including global and contract manufacturers

Manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness)

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and planning teams to support new product introductions (NPI)

Review and manage BOM (Bill of Materials) costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities

Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP/MRP systems

________________________________________Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field

2-5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in electronics or manufacturing

SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)

Advanced Excel and data analysis skills

________________________________________Experience with contract manufacturing and EMS providers

Familiarity with import/export regulations and logistics

Supply risk management

Office-based, with periodic interaction with suppliers and potential international travel.
