Duties

Medication administration and treatments

Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents

Document resident care services in the resident medical record and departmental records

Educate residents and family members regarding treatment, rehabilitation, and changes in status

Adhere to infection control policies and all facility procedures

Consult with residents' physician regarding the plan of care and notify of any changes

Maintain residents' confidentiality and privacy

Assure quality of care by adhering to DOH standards of practice and facility standards

Assist in solving residents' problems by working with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LPN or RN program
