Dentistry - Part-time Staff Dentist

Staff DentistThe Staff Dentist, under the supervision of the Dental Director, is responsible for providing basic dental services for clinic patients, including but not limited to: diagnosis, treatment planning, routine restorative care, periodontal treatment, oral surgery, endodontic treatment, prosthetics and pediatric dentistry. The ideal candidate will embrace our mission to provide high quality health care to patients of all ages, and support our vision and values through excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, commitment to our community, and accountability and ownership.Responsibilities:Consistently adhere to and/or exceed SPLG's communication guidelines and expectations with internal and external customers including co-workers, patients, and external partners.Communicate effectively by using welcoming words, proper tone of voice, appropriate body language, eye contact and smiling in all interactions. Manage the daily activities of all dental staff.Perform prophylaxis, scaling, subgingival curettage, root planning, and oral hygiene instruction.Perform endodontic therapy.Perform restorative dentistry.Perform oral surgery with special consideration given to patient's general health.Provide immediate treatment of dental emergencies.Provide local anesthesia.Holds a degree from an accredited dental school.Has a current, valid license to practice dentistry; issued by the California State Board of Dental Examiners.Be up to date on current dental principles, practices and materials.Bilingual Spanish/English required.Must be available to work Saturday shifts as requested.Standing, walking, sitting, typing, reaching, bending, moving and/or lifting up to 50 pounds.Salary & Benefits:Salary Range: $84.14 to $104.84 per hour.Part-time employees may receive some benefits on a pro-rated basis.Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance PlansPaid Time Off (PTO): 19 days per yearPaid Holidays: 12 per year401(k) Retirement Plan with employer contributionVoluntary Long-Term DisabilityAdditional Information:Employees on temporary assignments are eligible for holiday pay and California sick pay, both pro-rated based on hours worked.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, or genetic information.
