Machinist I - DayShift

Machinist 1You will help the team produce precision machined components that support aerospace and industrial fuel systems, ensuring parts meet strict quality and safety standards. You will work onsite on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm) with direct guidance from experienced technicians and engineers, contributing to production, inspection, and continuous improvement efforts.Operate production machining equipment (manual lathes and mills) following blueprints, sketches, and route sheetsPerform repetitive machine operations: cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming, chamfering, countersinking, and counterboringSet feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts and make minor adjustmentsAlign and fasten parts using standard fixtures and established methodsRemove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, cracks, and other irregularities from machined partsInspect parts visually and with gages/measuring instruments to verify conformance to specificationsPerform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements accurately and regularlyObserve safety rules and maintain a neat, orderly work areaHere's what you'll need to be successful in this role:High school diploma or equivalent1–3 years of general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilitiesHands-on experience with manual lathes and millsAbility to read and understand work instructions and blueprintsWorking knowledge of machine shop mathematicsManual dexterity and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as a participative team playerPay range: $
