As our Director of Finance, you’ll be the architect of scalable systems that fuel that mission. You’ll bring precision, foresight, and strategic clarity to every financial decision, guiding the company’s growth toward $100M and beyond with confidence and discipline.

You won’t just manage numbers. Hadley Designs is a family-founded brand redefining early education through creativity, beauty, and connection. We design screen-free learning tools that spark curiosity and confidence in children while giving parents peace of mind.

Beautiful design creates better learning. You’ll own the full finance function, building scalable systems, managing cash flow, driving profitability, and leading financial strategy to support Hadley Designs’ next era of growth.

Deliver accurate, audit-ready financials by the 20th of each month with full account reconciliation and zero material errors

Build and maintain a 12-month rolling cash forecast, updated weekly, ensuring perfect liquidity and visibility

Create and document SOPs for close, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes

Implement new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6

Produce insightful financial dashboards and KPIs that drive better decision-making

Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations to align growth, cash flow, and inventory planning

100% of monthly financials delivered on time and error-free

12-month rolling cash forecast maintained weeklySOPs for all finance processes documented within 3 months

You know how to scale systems, guide teams through growth, and communicate financial insight in plain English. You’re not just reporting numbers, you’re building the foundation for smart, sustainable expansion.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA strongly preferred)

5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including 3+ years in leadership

Proven success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling

Strong knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax standards

Proficiency with tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets

Collaborative mindset and the confidence to influence executive-level decisions
